Agardy® Brake Innovations GmbH is an engineering office that offers services and products in the field of modern brake systems and drive technology.
Agardy® Brake Innovations GmbH has extensive expertise in electric and hydraulic brake systems in the field of wind energy, maritime technology (ship propulsion systems), elevator technology and local rail transport (trams, underground trains) but also in many other challenging industrial applications.
One focus of our activities is the development of electric brakes, which have clear technical, economic and ecological advantages, especially in modern "all electric" applications.

Development

Development or development management of:
- Spring-loaded, electrically released (passive-fail safe) disc brakes up to 200kN contact pressure
- Electromechanical active disc brakes up to 400kN clamping force
- Other types of electrical (electromechanical) actuated brakes or holding and clamping devices for special applications
- Hydraulic active or spring-actuated brakes and brake systems for special tasks or in special designs
- Controlled electric brakes (active or passive) for special applications
- Wear adjusters and condition monitoring sensors for brakes and brake systems
Your research and development department will of course be involved in the development process.
The scope of development of a project or product will be precisely defined and delimited together in advance , so that you are contractually and de facto secured with regards to exclusivity and confidentiality.

Design

Design and/or design management:
- Selection and design integration of brake systems in a machine/application including design, documentation and definition of the mechanical and electrical interfaces.
- Design of active and passive hydraulic brakes and brake systems as fixed calipers, floating calipers or brake calipers up to 640kN contact pressure, according to your specification
- Design of active and passive pneumatic brakes, according to your specification and as a customized solution
- Design of active mechanical brakes, according to your specification
- Stop-Block-Turn devices for propeller shafts and ship propulsion, according to specifications or in direct consultation with end customers
- Mounting brackets adapted to the machine for all types of brakes, brake discs, clutches, clamping sets
- Design of specifications for test benches and design of test benches for brake systems

Design work is carried out with the CAD software SolidWorks and other modern FEM and analysis tools.
